What is the Sizewell C Community Research & Engagement Hub?
The Hub is an independent platform run by the University of Suffolk to support ongoing research into how Sizewell C may impact local communities. It provides updates, gathers feedback, and hosts public-facing research activities.
Is this project affiliated with Sizewell C or EDF?
No. The project is led by an independent research team at the University of Suffolk. While we may share community feedback with relevant stakeholders, we are not part of EDF or the Sizewell C operational team.
What kind of research is being done?
We are conducting both qualitative and quantitative research, including surveys, focus groups, interviews, and longitudinal engagement to understand how the Sizewell C development affects residents, families, workers, and stakeholders in the surrounding region.
How can I get involved in the research?
You can take part in surveys, attend focus groups (Community Listening Events), or leave feedback through this site. Visit the Public Engagement Opportunities page to see current invitations and registration links.
Will my feedback be published?
All individual responses are anonymised. We publish summary findings, recurring themes, and representative quotes (with consent). Visit our Research Updates page to read recent reports and summaries.
How is community feedback used?
Your input helps us identify community priorities, concerns, and perceptions. These findings inform public reports that are shared with local authorities, Sizewell C-related bodies, and the wider public to support transparent, evidence-based dialogue.
All data is handled in accordance with the UK GDPR and University of Suffolk’s research ethics policies. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I remain anonymous?
Yes. Surveys and feedback forms allow you to participate anonymously if you choose. Where we do collect contact information (e.g. for event registration), it is only used for the purpose stated.
Will I hear back if I leave a message or comment?
If you leave a general enquiry via the Contact page, we aim to respond within 3–5 working days. We may not be able to reply to every comment left via surveys or public forms, but all input is read and considered.
How can I stay informed?
You can subscribe to our newsletter (see footer or Contact page) to receive occasional updates, including new reports, events, and opportunities to get involved.
Where can I find results of past research?
All public reports and summaries are available on the Research Updates and Reports pages.
